The war of words has been building for weeks, but finally The Voice UK and Britain's Got Talent stopped the hype and delivered some actual Saturday night television this evening.But which show was the best? Has The Voice made a dent on the Simon Cowell talent show empire? Or does he still reign supreme when it comes to big-budget weekend telly?
Maybe you were lured in by will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones's sparring or the vocal acrobatics of Sam Buttery, Max Milner and J Marie Cooper.
Or did the dramatics of Only Boys Aloud and Jonathan Antoine tug your hearstrings and get you setting your Sky+ to ITV for the next two months?

Really enjoyed both preferred BGT but I liked the Voice as I've not seen it before. So yeah, both!

Obviously i would do in general terms, but the BBC have been banging on about how The Voice is not about that kind of thing... it is all about 'the voice', which clearly it isn't. You yourself mention the importance of dressing up and also the backstory of the woman who lost her hair which shows how we are already going beyond just 'the voice' in creating peronas for each contestant. I don't have a problem with it, i just don't believe the hype from the show's producers. This will only get worse as the show goes on as each contestant will be guided and styled in particular ways in the weeks to come. x

The Voice UK was better. End. Of. BGT is tired and old and changing the judges ain't going to make it fresh again. J Marie on The Voice was something else, she was amazing! And the girl at the start from Belfast, she was great and she didn't make it on X Factor? Madness!
