Claudia Winkleman has told Digital Spy that she's still waiting to hear from the BBC about whether she will be involved in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

Winkleman has hosted the BBC ballroom reality show's results show with Tess Daly for the last two years. However, she opted to exit BBC Two spinoff series It Takes Two last year following the birth of her third child Arthur.

Watch Claudia talking to Digital Spy about her Strictly future at the Carphone Warehouse Appys:

Zoe Ball took over as host of It Takes Two and Winkleman insisted that she wouldn't be returning to reclaim the presenting job. "I'm not going to do the daily show. That is now Zoe's and she is brilliant and far better at it than I ever could be," she said.

Speaking about whether she'll be involved in the main show, she added: "I don't know - they haven't called. Do I panic?

"I'd love to do the results show, but I don't know whether they'll want me to or not."

Commenting on the appointment of Darcey Bussell to the show, Winkleman said: "It turns out that she's really good at dancing - yay! I think she'll be quite strict and they'll all want to impress her, which is a great thing."

Bussell was confirmed as the fourth Strictly judge and a replacement for Alesha Dixon last month.

Strictly will return to BBC One in the autumn.
