"X Factor UK has a special place in my heart," Scherzinger told Cosmopolitan.
"The thing I battled with last year [on X Factor USA] was the rejection part, having to let contestants go.
"But I've grown so much since then. I'll make sure I continue to give 110% of me but not wear my heart on my sleeve as much."

She added of her stint on the US show: "People didn't see I committed six days a week and put everything to one side to help those contestants.
"You only have one person to answer to at the end of the night, and if you're happy with yourself that's all that matters.
"It's hard when you feel the pressure. Sometimes people lose their identity in this industry. But I refuse to waver from who I am."

Of the supposed female rivalry on such shows, she added: "Women should empower each other.
"I felt close to Paula [Abdul] when I did X Factor in the US as well, and it's great to work with Tulisa [Contostavlos] - she's a cool chick.
"We're all on the same team together; she's really fun. I love her a lot."

"...I'll make sure I continue to give 110% of me but not wear my heart on my sleeve as much." ARGHHH, worst expression ever...and one of my pet peeves, you cannot give 110%!....100% is the most you can give...and she is a Judge!?

I know right? why do people still say things like this, like Louis Walsh is guaranteed to say "a million percent yes"

Cowell made the best decision. Scherzinger's the best judge in X factor history, uk and us.

She lasted longer than Cheryl did, and I think that's one if the reasons Nicole gets so much criticism on sites like this one. The sheer amount of bitterness hurled at her has been ridiculous.

Have you not seen the criticism that Cheryl gets on this site?

She may have lasted longer on the USXF, but she won't last as long as Cheryl did on the UK version. No way will she survive 3 series.

Yes I have, but I have an issue with those who defend Cheryl Cole against criticism often by being personal towards those who hold a negative opinion, yet feel it is perfectly acceptable to be equally derisive - if not more so - towards Nicole. But sadly hypocrisy and double standards are a staple part of forum life.
