Shayne Ward, the series two winner of The X Factor, has hit out at his exclusion from a new promo campaign from ITV looking back at the show's history. The 'Whose Time Is Now' video features Leona Lewis, One Direction, Olly Murs, Alexandra Burke, JLS and Little Mix talking about their X Factor experiences.

Acts including Ward and other series winners Matt Cardle, Joe McElderry, Leon Jackson and Steve Brookstein are not mentioned in the promo.
Commenting on the video on Twitter, Ward said: "Just seen the new X Factor promo video. Yet again it's like I'm being erased slowly from their history.
"Pathetic really. Would love to know why?"
Ward scored two platinum albums after winning the 2005 series of X Factor, however, his third record Obsession only reached number 15 in 2010 and the single of the same name charted at 97.

Meanwhile, Digital Spy readers have complained that the promo made it look like One Direction had won their series of the show, while actual victor Matt Cardle didn't even feature.
Also, Joe McElderry left a cryptic message on Twitter that many fans believed related to the video, writing: "I'm just gonna keep doing my thing :D #thatisall #loveforthemassive."
The ninth series of The X Factor will start next month on ITV1.

Surprised Cher Lloyd wasn't in this seeing as how she's smashing America or whatever

It has nothing to do with record sales. If it did Little Mix would not be in it because their single flopped. Matt Cardle had the biggest selling winner's single ever and has sold more records than any other male winner other than Shayne. Joe McEldery has 3 gold albums, 'Classic' has sold double gold. He wll soon be the only former X factor contestant to release 4 albums. Shayne has sold several million singles and albums. No, the ones who were included are all still signed to Sony. Shayne, Leon, Stacy and Joe all left Sony and have deals with Universal. Matt walked away from them in March and will probably sign a deal with either Universal or Warners soon. Rebecca is in dispute with Sony over mangement. Syco TV, which is Sony and Simon, owns the show. So it is all about who is still a Sony slave. If you are not, it is like you were never part of X Factor

You know your stuff - but why do you say that the Little Mix single flopped ? It got to number one (if only for one week) and is still reasonably high in the charts.

Do Not win X Factor unless you can sing like the beautiful Leona Lewis, if you win...you are doomed.

A bit of an embarrassment that Alexandra Burke is in the new promo though, obviously they didn't forsee her new album flopping like it has, Shayne should be thankful he's now got his freedom from Cowell's shackles and doesn't need to be a yes man like before.

Obviously they only want to include the contestants who are actually still around now and highly sucessful. It's a no brainer and these guys complaining all the time about X Factor just sounds like sour grapes.
