Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon has said that she does not want a role on The X Factor UK.

The 'Boy Does Nothing' singer, who previously judged the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, said that she is afraid of looking "too greedy" by joining another TV talent show.

Asked at the Glamour 'Women of the Year' awards if she would be an X Factor panellist, Dixon replied: "Do you know what, it's not that I'm not interested but you don't want to be too greedy.

"Britain's Got Talent was hugely successful and I loved it, and Simon [Cowell] openly said he'd love to have the panel back. And you know what? I'm grateful for that. So I wouldn't expect anything more than that."

Dixon added that her dilemma was moot anyway, as she has not been invited to be either a guest judge or a permanent panellist on the new X Factor series.

She revealed: "I haven't had the phone call, and whoever gets the job, I wish them the best of luck."

Dixon declared earlier this month that she "had the time of [her] life" on Britain's Got Talent.
