is reportedly "highly unlikely" to become a full-time X Factor
The former Spice Girls singer was a guest judge for the first round of filmed auditions
earlier this month.
However, producers have stated that she failed to generate any chemistry with Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow and Tulisa Contostavlos.
"Geri had a lot of energy and tried her hardest to make an impression," a source told The Sun
"But you need chemistry with the other judges in spades if you are going to join the panel full-time."
Since Halliwell's guest stint, Leona Lewis
and Rita Ora have stepped in to sit on the judging panel
Producers are still searching for a permanent fourth judge to agree a deal before the live shows later this year.
Halliwell said after her guest spot that she didn't care about any negative reaction to her appointment
