Spence and Witt were brought in as replacements for Emma Bunton and Jason Gardiner at the start of the series, but the duo failed to generate headlines or much viewer support.

New host Christine Bleakley was also criticised by Digital Spy readers, who bemoaned the loss of Holly Willoughby to BBC One's The Voice UK.
The ice-skating reality show has typically topped Sunday night ratings in January for ITV1, but it lost out due to the huge success of new BBC drama Call The Midwife.
A source told The Sun: "Dancing On Ice was so boring this year - and it didn't escape the notice of the top brass.
"We're going back to the drawing board in a bid to inject some life into the show. We're looking at everything - the judges, the stars on the show, everything is up for discussion."
Producers are also apparently considering switching the series from Sunday nights to Saturday nights in 2013.

Need a critical judge, should bring back Jason (if he can be persuaded). Sunday nights is also the wrong time. They also need to dump Bleakley, possibly Holly could be tempted back as The Voice wasn't exactly a ratings hit.

We didn't have a villain this year, that's where the excitement comes in, when someone is honest. Bring back Graham Gardiner he is the equivalent to Strickleys Craig and X Factors.
Simon. We all need a brutely honest person to boo!

The reason the ratings went down is because not many people care about it any more... It's boring. IMO.

a don't think it was the judges that made the ratings drop it was Christine bleakley and her rubbish presenting.

I.t.V should look at how Strictly Come Dancing re-invented itself because it went through a drop in ratings - it needs to have main show on Saturday night and a shorter results show on Sunday ( it should also show case British skating talent) - several weeks before they should introduce the celebrities taking part and who they are dancing with - they need bring back the Friday night pre show as they had acouple of years ago! they should also show the LiveTour show at peak time just before the new series starts and not hidden away on a Saturday afternoon like last year -The presenters - judges -skating stars are all fine - also over christmas just before new series starts they could have all past winners competing in a one off show - it is worth saving!
