Jennifer Ellison denies 'Dancing on Ice' feud over son's banning

Jennifer Ellison has attempted to play down her criticism of Dancing on Ice over the banning of her 2-year-old son from live shows.

The 28-year-old actress fumed on Twitter yesterday over a recent rule change that prevented under-sixes from spectating during the ITV contest. Her son Bobby would now be forced to stay at home, as would her mother - the only person she claimed was available to look after him.

"Its a new rule from God at ITV!!! Think it probably coz of the child crying at the top of last weeks show xxx," she wrote last night. "So sad...Absolutely gutted!!! My little man can't watch his mummy in the audience! Bit late in the day to change the rules if u ask me! (sic)."

However, Ellison has since worked to alleviate tensions between herself and the Dancing on Ice team by deleting all her posts on the subject, as well the number of supportive messages she retweeted from followers.

"Before I go to sleep I want everyone to know I idolise dancing in ice I ve loved every single minute and don't want ppl to think I'm being...negative towards the show," she added in the early hours of this morning (January 21). "On the contrary I love it that much that I want my family to be there with me every step of the way. Xxxx."

Ellison also revealed on Twitter that she suffered a cracked rib during training this week.

Other Dancing on Ice contestants were alleged to have accused bosses of showing favouritism towards Ellison, after her debut performance was delayed to allow partner Daniel Whiston to recover from injury.

Dancing on Ice continues tomorrow (January 22) at 6.10pm on ITV1.
