Sadie Frost denies 'Dancing on Ice' appearance: 'I prefer Strictly'

Sadie Frost has denied rumours that she is competing in the next series of Dancing on Ice.

The actress confirmed that she had been approached for the ITV contest, but was forced to turn down the offer due to her hectic work schedule.

"I did get asked but I'm too busy," she is quoted as telling the Daily Star. "I've always liked Strictly more if I'm honest. It's more glamorous and less dangerous."

Football legend David Beckham is still said to be seriously considering a role on Dancing on Ice.

"There are a lot of options," he has been quoted as saying. "I'm not in a great rush to decide."

Other celebrities linked to an appearance in next year's show include Sugababes singer Heidi Range, actress Jennifer Ellison and child star Corey Feldman.

Christine Bleakley will join Phillip Schofield as the new Dancing on Ice host after previous presenter Holly Willoughby was recruited to host BBC talent contest The Voice.
