The legendary footballer is apparently facing pressure from his wife Victoria Beckham, friend and Dancing on Ice fan Justin Bieber and the show's coach Christopher Dean to appear in next year's series.
"He'd be great," Dean told the Daily Star. "He likes music so hopefully he has rhythm. We like the idea of an athlete from a different sport."
On Beckham's chances of success in the rink, he added: "You assume contestants are going to be good physically, but they aren't always co-ordinated for dancing."
Beckham himself is quoted by the publication as saying: "There are a lot of options. I'm not in a great rush to decide."
Dean's skating partner Jayne Torvill previously named Beckham as her fantasy Dancing on Ice contestant.
Other stars tipped to appear on the ITV contest include Corey Feldman, Chesney Hawkes, actress Jennifer Ellison and Sugababes singer Heidi Range.
Christine Bleakley will present the new series of Dancing on Ice alongside Phillip Schofield after current host Holly Willoughby defected to BBC talent show The Voice.

I have no words.

Dancing on Ice needs to be VERY special this year as with Holly leaving to host The Voice at the same time it has some real competition from a fresh format so a really big name like Beckham is probably needed as the formula has gotten very stale over the past couple of series (woo-flying week- AGAIN!) so its unlikely but not beyond the realms of possiblility. (I'd hate to see what they'd have to pay him though!)
