Nobody can say Simone Lewis
's final photoshoot on America's Next Top Model
lacked drama! The Kansas-born model was instructed to don white-out contact lenses (that completely obscured her vision) and frolic with a male model in a bath filled with blood while pretending to be a vampire. Unfortunately the panel thought her picture lacked sensuality, and she became the latest contestant to pack her bags and head home. We gave her a call to chat about the judges' comments, working blind and whether she has taken Tyra's advice...Were you expecting to be in the bottom two after this week's shoot?
"Yes and no. It's tough to really say when it comes to these things. You never really know what to expect but I wouldn't say I was surprised."How was it wearing the white-out lenses?
"Those lenses were so uncomfortable and it was unnerving! It would have been nice so many times to have just had a flash of sight when we were getting into that slippery bathtub."So you had no idea what the pictures would look like until panel?
"No, you have no clue. I was definitely really excited to see the photos, especially this week because we didn't watch each other that much and because we couldn't see ourselves!"As a fan of the show, what are your thoughts on new judge André?
"I think he brings an interesting perspective to the table and obviously I respect his opinion in the industry. It was great to have him."What was your favourite shoot from your time in the competition?
"It was probably the water one. I really liked that one. I think everyone came out looking really lovely so it was a challenge but a lot of fun at the same time."Anslee and Alasia had a massive blow-up last night. Did you see it?
"No, that actually happened really late at night or early in the morning, depending on how you look at it. I didn't witness it it but you could hear it!"Did it affect the atmosphere in the house?
"All the arguments affected the atmosphere, but in the morning it never seemed to matter anymore. There were a few hours of acting mad and then we would all move on when our next exciting Tyra mail comes up."Are there any of the girls who you will stay in touch with?
"Yeah! I'm still in touch with about half the girls in the house. We text each other and give each other words of encouragement, and update each other on what is going on in our lives." Ren has said she found it hard dealing with the reality aspect of the show. How did you find being on camera and seeing yourself on TV?
"I actually enjoyed watching it on TV. When you're surrounded by it, you have people in the house constantly watching and filming from when you get up in the morning to way after you go to bed at night. It's definitely stressful feeling like you're constantly being watched and whatever you're doing will be shown on national TV!"In the first episode, you said you either wanted to be a Victoria's Secret model or Hillary Clinton. Have you chosen one or the other yet?!
"I'm not going to choose a path. I'm just going to wait and see what happens with modelling and figure it out!"Have you done what Tyra said at the end of the episode?
"I have definitely taken her advice. I'm still young and have time so we'll see what happens."Have you been in touch with her since leaving?
"With Tyra? Oh no! I wish! She was pretty much exactly how I imagined she would be. She was genuinely sincere and it felt like less of a job and more of a personal connection."America's Next Top Model continues next Monday at 9pm on Living
