James Corden: 'There will definitely be more Gavin & Stacey'

James Corden has said that he "definitely" intends to make more Gavin & Stacey episodes.The BBC comedy came to an end in January 2010, but further specials have been rumoured since, with co-creator Ruth Jones saying that she would like to make a musical as well as a new episode.

"It would be a crime not to [make more episodes]," Corden told the Daily Mail.
"It's a great show, writing with Ruth is a gift. I definitely plan on doing more."
Corden also said that he is still good friends with his former Gavin & Stacey co-star Mathew Horne and that he has been invited to Horne's wedding in September.
The pair had become best friends, but parted ways after their BBC Three sketch show and movie Lesbian Vampire Killers were panned by critics.
Corden added: "He's still a really good mate."
Joanna Page recently told Digital Spy that she doesn't expect Gavin & Stacey to return as its stars are now too busy.
Why have ago, when it has even been written yet. At least wait till it's been aired before you slag it off!

Maybe a spin off would be better - look at Partridge - his shows are all still well valued as they were short. Mid morning matters continues years after we were first introduced to him and its amazing. What we need here is maybe, as someone suggested, smithy and nessa. Get rid of Horne and annoying woman.

Series 1 and 2 were brilliant but in my opinion series 3 was awful. Series 3 could have been told in a one off special instead of 6 episodes of nothing but catchphrases and over the top sentiment.
If it had ended after 2 series it would go down as a classic like Fawlty Towers or The Office but by the sound of things its destined to be another Brittas Empire or Absolutely Fabulous
