Apple unveiled the next generation of the iPhone at a blockbuster product launch in San Francisco yesterday, aided by a set from rock band the Foo Fighters.Due to the various leaks ahead of the launch, there were few big surprises, but the iPhone 5 is still an impressive smartphone, boasting a larger display, 4G connectivity and new headphones.

Pre-orders for the phone get underway on Friday (September 14) and the smartphone will go on sale on September 21 in various markets, including the UK.
Apple has confirmed that the UK's 16GB version will cost £529, the 32GB model will be worth £599 and the 64GB iPhone 5 will be priced at £699. US prices on contract are $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB and $399 for 64GB.
