"The power and simplicity of voice integration as part of a TV interface is clear the moment you sit back and speak to your TV," said Michael Thompson, senior vice president and general manager of Nuance Mobile.
"Working together, Nuance and Samsung are demonstrating how voice truly transforms the digital living room experience."
Nuance hardware is rumoured to power Apple's Siri navigation service, though such reports remain unconfirmed. It has also been speculated that the voice technology firm is on board for Apple's smart television venture.
The company also provides voice-to-text transcription service for T-Mobile in the US, and voice activation features for Ford cars.
Samsung, the world's largest manufacturer of TVs and memory chips, announced a record 47.8tn won ($41.7bn, £27bn) expansion of its various businesses earlier this year.

This is what Panasonic is doing with their TVs too! I think it's not such a good idea because I've tried Nuance voice recognition before and it's not that good.. Samsung should focus more on improving their image quality just like what LG Electronics has been doing recently with its 3D HDTV sets.
