Unveiled in January, the latest Galaxy device is powered by a dual-core 1.0GHz processor, and has the Android Gingerbread operating system, overlaid with Samsung's TouchWiz user interface.
Built with a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, the Galaxy S Advance has a 5 Megapixel Auto Focus Camera with LED Flash, and a 1.3 Megapixel front-fitted camera for video calling.
"We've been pleased with the response we've had from customers, partners and media since announcing the Galaxy S Advance in January," said Simon Stanford, the vice president of UK & IRE Telecommunications & Networks Division, Samsung UK and Ireland.
"As with many of our smartphones before it, the Galaxy S Advance features a screen which uses our Super AMOLED technology so anyone that buys one will experience unparalleled colour and vivid clarity when viewing any content on the device."
The Galaxy S Advance will be available in the UK across a variety of networks, including Phones 4u and Vodafone, from April 30.
It will launch ahead of the much-anticipated unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S3 on May 3, the Korean firm's hotly-tipped successor to the multi-million selling Galaxy S2.

I've been looking at getting a new phone and was tempted by LG Optimus 4X, but this S3 looks like it can do all that can and them some. I can't wait.

Would have thought the Advance would have had Android 4.0 (well a cut down version at least). Roll on the S3 launch.
