Nokia announced the new handset at Mobile World Congress last month, revealing that it will come with the Symbian operating system, rather than Microsoft's Windows Phone.
Powered by a 1.3GHz processor, the 4-inch screen smartphone features a market-leading 41MP camera and comes with image compression systems to help users share photos.
The camera can take 1080p HD video and has a 4x loss-less zoom, while 512MB of RAM and 16GB of storage is there for holding the super high-resolution images.
According to T3, online retailer Unlocked Mobiles has now leaked the price and release date for the phone by launching pre-orders on its website.
Unlocked Mobiles claims that the Nokia 808 PureView will become available in the UK on April 23 and be offered SIM-free for the hefty price of £464.98.
The release date and price have not yet been confirmed by Finnish mobile giant Nokia.
Also at Mobile World Congress, Nokia announced an expansion to its Windows Phone-powered Lumia range, including the new budget Lumia 610 and the international expansion of the Lumia 900.

Cant wait for this one and see if it lives up to my expectations. Fed up with poor quality phone cameras to date. N8 seems to be the best so far, but still some way from very satisfactory. If you know what you want/are doing, 41mp is extremely useful. Lets hope that with the lens & higher specs combination product will be way ahead of the rest.

Awesome phone. Can't wait to get this as an upgrade to my trusty N8. Never need to take a digital camera or camcorder with me again!

I want it. I might even need it. Call me stupid if you want to. Still won't change the fact that I can use this technology better than you. :)

Is there even any screen that can display that high a resolution? Seems like overkill to me.

Its about what you can do with quality and zoom, especially for video. Call me stupid ;)
