'Coronation Street' Friday double split harms ratings

Ryan Connor's deceit was seen by 7.19m (35.2%) at 7.30pm (+1: 227k/1.1%), but only 6.45m (29.9%) returned an hour later for the rebellious teenager's stunning revelation to mum Michelle at 8.30pm (+1: 311k/1.5%).
With EastEnders not airing due to the BBC's football coverage, some Digital Spy forum users have in the past suggested that ITV should run Corrie for an hour straight in such circumstances instead of sticking to its usual double bill.
Marlon's massive decision in Emmerdale attracted the attention of 5.77m (30.6%) at 7pm, as well as 291k (1.5%) on ITV1 +1.
Meanwhile, Hollyoaks logged 851k (4.9%) at 6.30pm, then E4's first look nabbed 428k (2.3%).
Elsewhere, Neighbours delivered a decent aggregated audience of nearly 1.6m - pulling in 741k (9.2%) at 1.45pm and adding 848k (6.3%) later at 5.30pm on Channel 5.
Home and Away followed Neighbours' evening instalment with 626k (3.9%), after which 431k (2.5%) stayed for 5*'s first look.

eastenders is nothing compared to coronation st
get over it we got a new character and thats the end of it

They need a new casting director. Ryan (who's supposed to be 20 and looks about 25 and certainly not young enough to be Michelle's son) cannot act and he is far too posh trying to be a street kid. As for Rob, well, where do I begin. He's a midget trying to play a hard man and it doesn't work. He has to look up to everyone he is in a scene with - even the women are taller than him. He is too short, too effeminate looking and his piggy, beady, half-shut eyes are as irritating as his pouting bottom lip. Far too camp and not convincing....

With this lot its no suprise, to mant recast people being bought in you have never hered of and stupid plot lines. Lets see som real plots with Noris, insted of the unblivable ones with Tracy and Carla!!!!!!

Bringing in the wrong actors, wrong story lines lost EastEnders the top spot they had held for a long time, corrie could well go the same way"down" if it isn't careful, the story line with Ryan is horrid , poor acting and poor storyline, Michelle doesn't make it any better she is so unbelievable too.
