POTD: 'Coronation Street's Peter shoves Roy while drunk

Peter Barlow falls off the wagon again with embarrassing consequences in tonight's Coronation Street.Bookies owner Peter starts the day in a positive mood, confident that he will persuade Leanne and Nick to let him spend more time with son Simon.
But the pair reject Peter's request, leaving him hurt and angry. After hitting the bottle, he returns to Roy's Rolls where he pushes the concerned café owner.

What will happen when Carla, already in a bad mood, returns to the flat to find a drunk Peter? Is it curtains for their relationship?
Since giving up Simon to estranged wife Leanne, troubled Peter has been depressed and irritable with his girlfriend Carla.
Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm on ITV1.

stop whining it is a soap not real life notice its a man thats doing all the whinging today if you dont like corrie switch it off instead of spoiling it for everyone else .

Replying to "On The Edge" - and you think Saint Leanne is any better? For a start Peter wouldn't be losing it and drinking again if Leanne wasn't withholding access to HIS son or threatening to move away with a kid that is NOT hers. Peter let Simon go and live with her to make HIS son happy, what more does Saint Leanne want? I'll tell you what she wants, she wants Peter to do exactly what he is doing, which is losing the plot, she wants him and Carla to split up, which they do and she wants to get back at Peter and hurt him because ultimately he chose Carla over her.
Leanne is a nasty, bitter, sanctimonious, hypocritical cow and there is no point in sugarcoating it, her pretend son, Curly, is a very rude brat.

Was Peter worrying about Simon when he was sneaking off to see Carla ? Was Peter worrying about Simon when he drunk himself unconscious and set fire to his flat ? Was Peter taking care of Simon when he allowed ANOTHER alcoholic in to his life ? Was Peter thinking of Simon when he was willing to go to prison for an offence he did not commit ? Was Peter taking care of his son when he enabled Simon to get drunk and end up in hospital ? ..... mmmmm - let me think ..... NO !!!!
I never said Leanne was ideal - perhaps Social Services ought to take the little chap ??!!
But basically - IT IS A SOAP AND NOT REAL !!

Peter has been a selfish idiot and a PIG at times yes but Saint Leanne is no better, she is a former prozzie, druggie, lottery thief and she has been known to set fire to buildings for the insurance money! That kid is not hers, he is Peter's son and when Peter let Simon go and live with Leanne that was to make HIS son happy but that spiteful HYPOCRITICAL cow has thrown it back in his face. Was Saint Leanne worrying about Simon when she was instigating an argument with Peter infront of the kid, while he was lying in a hospital bed? Was she considering his feelings when she tried to leave Weatherfield without bothering to tell him? Let me think...... NO. She had an affair with Nick long before Peter and Carla had an affair, she was hardly thinking of Simon then was she? Leanne had enough to say when Peter wouldn't let her see Simon and now she is doing exactly the same. Hypocritical frump. In Leanne's world, Peter can't do it but she can.
The kid is turning into his pretend mother, there is no denying it. Both are rude and unpleasant.
But basically - instead of stating the OBVIOUS perhaps we should breathe a sigh of relief that its NOT REAL because thankfully in the real world Saint Leanne wouldn't have a cat in hell's chance. She is nothing more than VILE.

completly agree she going to feel a bit bad on friday thou when she think peter comidete suside and it was her fault i say run away with simon peter run far as can don;t know why everyone in the street siding with leanne

Rosie - well Wednesdays Corrie just showed how pathetic she is. Her and her slimy boyfriend taking bets on Peter, looking smug and laughing in his face just because he wanted to tell his son that he loves him. Nick and Leanne together are one vile couple and I don't know who saint Leanne thinks she is telling Peter he can't see his own son, she has no right and its beyond me how anyone can stomach watching her. She is a nasty, sour faced, spiteful, hypocritical cow and if I was Peter, I would worry about my son being around her because his son is turning into her
