When asked by Loose Women's Jane McDonald whether he would return to the soap for a third stint, Duffy proclaimed: "I would, I love the show."
Explaining his exit, Duffy said: "It's just, my family are based in Dublin and when I did Coronation Street, I was commuting over and backwards every weekend and it was very difficult.
"I made a conscious decision in September to come home for a year because my son was doing his big exam and my daughter was moving from national school to secondary school. I just needed to be at home for a year."
Duffy's 12-year-old daughter Mia suffers with autism.

HIs character adds nothing to the show, although I do like Keith he's a good guy.

Oh dear. Apart from his dubious acting skills how many times does he expect them to take him back just 'cos he hasn't got anything else on, like yet another Boyzone reunion.... and if they do fall for it, let's hope it pans our like Dubcek says!!

I don't think that Ciaran should return again. His last comeback was disappointing and I doubt that Michelle would want him back. He's not a bad character though and if the return storyline was good it would be nice to have him back as one of the more minor characters.

Yes bring him back so he can collect Michelle and her new druggie son and let them all drive off into the sunset in the obligatory black cab never to be sen again.
