Corrie's Becky 'tries to steal Max back'

Coronation Street's Becky McDonald will try to steal back her nephew Max after he is taken into care, reports have claimed.

The troubled character, played by Katherine Kelly, is expected to go into meltdown yet again when she suffers the latest setback in her personal life.

Earlier this month, it was reported that a forthcoming storyline will see social services visit the Rovers Return and take Max away after they learn that Becky bought the youngster from her half-sister Kylie.

According to the Daily Star, Becky later discovers that Max has been placed with a foster family and visits their home after she manages to track them down.

It is thought that a showdown soon takes place between the foster parents and Becky as they threaten to call the police upon her arrival.

Although Becky puts up a fight for her 'son', her husband Steve (Simon Gregson) apparently arrives on the scene and drags her away, keen to make sure that she does not get into further trouble with the authorities.

Becky's latest woes over Max form part of the build-up to her departure from Weatherfield as Kelly has decided to bow out from the role. The character will remain on screen until early 2012.
