'EastEnders' Ian discovery, Corrie cocaine shame, 'Oaks Mercedes kiss

EastEnders wanderer Ian Beale will be be carried back to Albert Square in sensational scenes airing early next month.

As is already well known, hapless Ian (Adam Woodyatt) has become homeless as a result of his wedding day breakdown in May, which saw him run off down a dual carriageway in his bare feet.

His old Albert Square acquaintances Max, Tanya and Alfie find the barely-recognisable businessman sleeping rough on the outskirts of Walford.

When they return him to the Square, Tanya tends to a wound on his face, but worries about the fragility of his mental state.

With stressed daughter Lucy nearby at the cafe, how will she react when she comes face-to-face with her troubled father?







These EastEnders scenes will air on Thursday, August 2.

Coronation Street has also seen a character transformation, in Ryan Connor - now played by Sol Heras. We already know that the former student has returned to Weatherfield a lazy, lager-guzzling womaniser... but wait for it... he also snorts cocaine in his spare time.

Michelle, along with Steve, catches the rebel in the Rovers' toilets before dragging him out and screaming at him in front of a crowded pub. Fellow Weatherfield newcomer Rob also has some choice words for his disgraced nephew.

Gaining a bad reputation, is Ryan heading for villainous territory?

Doctor Browning (Joe Thompson) and Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) appear to fall into each other's arms in an upcoming episode of Hollyoaks.

Browning has been blackmailing Mercedes over the papers he forged to clear her from suspicion surrounding the shock death of Lynsey Nolan, demanding that they fake a relationship to upset next-door neighbour Riley.







Hollyoaks shows these scenes on Friday, August 3 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.

Coming up in Emmerdale, Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) is tempted by strapping farmer Alex Ross (Kurtis Stacey) as he returns topless and dripping wet.

Though Alex continues to flirt with Moira, the pair eventually realise that they are pushing their limitations.

Once again, Hollyoaks won our storyline poll for the past week with a 31.4% share of the votes for Mitzeee and Riley's respective struggles.

Emmerdale finished second as 28.6% voted for Rachel's pregnancy test trauma, while 21.8% were excited by Jason and Maria's upcoming kiss in Coronation Street.

EastEnders plummeted to fourth for Billy's last-minute Olympic torch dash with 16.9%, while Doctors was last with 1.3%.
