POTD: 'EastEnders' Kat Moon in turmoil

EastEnders landlady Kat Moon breaks down in tears this evening (July 6) as she continues to struggle with the guilt of her recent infidelity.As a new day dawns in Walford, Kat (Jessie Wallace) feels unable to face the world and hides herself away upstairs at the Queen Vic - claiming that she has a migraine.
An oblivious Alfie (Shane Richie) is sympathetic to his wife, but as he tries to offer some comfort, he is left stunned as Kat starts to cry.
Soon afterwards, Kat decides to pull herself together by focusing on being the perfect wife and mother. However, as her mystery lover's phone calls and texts continue, temptation is never far away for Kat…

I just can't believe they're doing this storyline again. I mean, it wasn't all that long ago Kat had that tryst with Mickey in the alley. It made no sense that Alfie just carried on like it's all been done & dusted. That is still a fairly fresh wound & there was no closure over what happened. Alfie never even got the chance to confront him. How realistic was it for the writers to have Kat flirting with five blokes & sleep with one of the lot in the wake of her previous infidelity? Given what's happening (again), maybe the writers want Alfie to end up sleeping with Roxy afterall. I could have done without this new affair story. This current storyline is reaching a bit over the top I'd say.

Why is she crying the public dont feel anything but resentment towards Kat now. I agree with VirginiaDem hope Lorraine Newman does the dirty deed and gets shot of the tart. Why cry to your hubby cause you cheated on him then go back out and do it any way No morals Kat. That isnt the Kat Moon that left the square xmas 2005. We the fans have lost her for good and it sucks!!!

Theres rumours down the betting shop that their taking odds on who will be the next team member to score with Kat, looks like Alfie's out of the running though

The character of Kat needs to be finished now. Bryan Kirkwood has given a masterclass in how to ruin an iconic character. I hope Lorraine Newman has the guts to write Kat's character out.
