'Casualty' Gemma Atkinson confirms return

Casualty actress Gemma Atkinson has confirmed that she will return to the show.The former Hollyoaks star was cast in the series last year as a new paramedic called Tamzin.

She was initially on the show for three months, but today confirmed via Twitter that she is currently filming new episodes in Cardiff.
Atkinson tweeted: "For those asking, the reason im working in Cardiff now is because ive joined Casualty again. Watch this space for Tamzins return ;) (sic)."

It was reported last year that Atkinson was searching for work in the US.
The actress also revealed in 2011 that she had turned down the chance to return to Hollyoaks on a 12-month contract.
I dont mind her returning but I just wish they would show more of the paramedics, I have been watching casualty since I was little and the paramedics used to get a lot of air time now not so much. Jeff and Dixie are great though =D

Proper agree with that, in like series 16-20 the ones with Nikki,Fin,Comfort,Josh,Nina,Woody&Luke (Think that's them all) they were like in every episode and they even had episodes just based on them but we don't have them anymore so there should be more paramedic stuff;D

Yup, just like Roxanne Pallet and Adele Silva ... they all thought increased male attention would mean greater career opportunities in Hollywood when all it has led them to is minor roles on BBC soaps or returning to their old jobs humbled after getting their baps out in horror B-movies.

Do we need another paramedic on the show? Jeff and Dixie are amazing, and the more screen time they get, the better. I love their banter and the way they go about their jobs. Never really liked it when Tamzin and the other guy were there, the one who argued with Jeff. Will have to see how this pans out..
