POTD: 'Hollyoaks' Carmel fails to cover up her scar

Carmel McQueen makes an unrealistic attempt to cover up her facial scars in Hollyoaks this evening.Carmel (Gemma Merna) tries desperately to cover her injuries with make-up in preparation for a night out in Chester.
Carmel's life has been turned upside down, after her quest to become the face of new gym Attwell's ended in disaster.
Her free-spirited personality has been damaged since a tanning machine exploded earlier this month, causing the scars.
Will Carmel overcome her embarrassment and join her friends clubbing?

I don't understand why this is such a big storyline, nearly everybody I know has scars, including myself..mine cannot be hidden either but I look on it as my sign of survival...

Pretty sure this "facial scars" truma storyline happened in Hollyoaks years ago when Justin pushed his step sister through a glass window and she got tons of scars on her face...which magically vanished eventually....

they were permanent but she had a surgery to remove/hide them wonder if that procedure will still exist...
