'Emmerdale' dips below 5m due to London 2012

Amy Wyatt's ultimatum to mum Kerry was seen by 4.67m (21.2%) at 7pm (+1: 219k/0.9%), while double the audience were tuned in to the start of BBC One's evening Olympics coverage.
Coronation Street's double bill led the soap ratings with 5.91m (24.2%) at 7.30pm (+1: 175k/0.7%) and 6.37m (24.8%) at 8.30pm (+1: 265k/1.1%).
Elsewhere, Hollyoaks mustered 659k (3.3%) at 6.30pm, after which E4's first look grabbed 393k (1.8%).
Neighbours held up well with 617k (5.9%) at 1.45pm and 765k (5.8%) at 5.30pm.
Meanwhile, 5*'s latest classic Home and Away episodes entertained 167k (0.9%) and 167k (0.8%).

yeah, the 2 lesbians and their whole story is useless. marlon and laurel are pathetic, cain is predictable and katie and fella are duller than dull.
moira is still hot though...

Emmerdale needs to clear out some of the existing characters starting with Marlon - then the two lesbians, the ex husbandand kids. The Moira fling - boring and it's about time Zack was moved on. The money loan sharks in real life do not give up so easily - perhaps they can sort out Zack once and for all. Bring in some fresh actors - A new vicar family, a new family to replace Moira's etc etc - come on writers - more get up and go please - Emmerdales become boring.
