After: The new set, which was unveiled last night.
A number of Emmerdale viewers immediately questioned the rebuild and tweeted Charley Webb - who plays Debbie - to ask about the sudden makeover.
Gemma Oaten, who plays Rachel Breckle, also revealed that she had received "about 100 tweets" about Debbie's stairs - even though she has never filmed on the set.
Oaten later told her online followers: "I've tried to find out for you... and yes, the stairs have been moved in Debbie's house #emmerdale due to tweaks being needed as filming in that little studio was a nightmare for cameras etc.
"A lot of sets have needed tweaking since the move to new studio. Hope that helps! So there we have it #debbiesstairgate is hopefully resolved. Hurrah! If I'm wrong I apologise, but I tried for you."
Meanwhile, a statement released on the official Emmerdale Twitter page read: "For all our eagle eyed viewers, there has been some changes to the Tug Ghyll set, this is for production reasons."
Viewers will get another glimpse of the new-look set this evening (July 5) as a fight breaks out between Cain Dingle and Cameron Murray at the house.

I noticed the stairs and was confused, too! Funny how the little things can be such a distraction!

In the past they've changed the entire village, and a few character's heads so a set of stairs being moved isn't particularly mindblowing.

I don't watch it but it's clearly a continuity error that couldn't be avoided for production reasons, not like Corrie when Sean's hair was suddenly shorter in a scene in the Rover's and then back to longer for a scene in Eileen's house!! Was shockingly bad and very noticeable. Did anyone notice it too?

I noticed it straight away, I thought that they were in another house, I did get confused!
But after Sharon on This Morning cleared it up by saying the set's had a revamp, then that put the confusion to bed!
