Donald Trump responds to hairpiece rumours: 'I do not wear a wig'

Donald Trump has insisted that he does not wear a hairpiece.

The Celebrity Apprentice star has long been the subject of rumours that he wears a wig, apparently due to his unique comb-over hairstyle.















Trump has now hit out at those rumours once again, apparently in response to an unnamed writer who referenced a recent Vanity Fair blog. That article satirically recommended Trump's alleged hairpiece as a running mate for presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

"Some really dumb blogger for failing @VanityFair, a magazine whose ads are down almost 18% this year, said I wear a hairpiece… I DON'T!" Trump insisted in a tweet on Thursday (July 19).

The reality show host previously claimed that it takes him more than an hour to put together his complicated hairstyle.

He explained the process: "Okay, what I do is, wash it with Head & Shoulders. I don't dry it, though. I let it dry by itself. It takes about an hour… I then comb my hair. Yes, I do use a comb.

"Do I comb it forward? No, I don't comb it forward. I actually don't have a bad hairline. When you think about it, it's not bad. I mean, I get a lot of credit for comb-overs. But it's not really a comb-over. It's sort of a little bit forward and back."

Earlier this month, it was reported that Trump's next Celebrity Apprentice could be an all-star season featuring Piers Morgan, Joan Rivers and Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth.
