Jane Lynch 'struggles to accept success'

has explained that she's always struggled to accept success in both her personal and professional lives.
In an interview with ET Online
, the Glee
stated that her upcoming memoir
will trace her resistance to welcoming positive developments in her life.
"I grew up basically with everything handed to me," she said. "Not my career. I worked for that."
She added: "I had a good family. I was brought up with a lot of love, but basically I chose time after time after time to suffer over so much.
"That mental component of suffering is the thing that, I think, if I look back on my life is a choice. Even today, I will choose to angst over something when I really don't have to."

last fall and is to star in this Sunday's post-Super Bowl episode 'Thriller'
