Referring to the X Factor boss's well-publicised love life, she said: "I'd never be another notch on his bedpost. I'd very much rather be his friend because friendship lasts longer.
"We get each other. We always have a laugh together. I make him laugh and he makes me laugh. That's why I'm still here."
The 41-year-old has been married to Chris Hughes since December 2008. She has two young daughters, Lexi and Hollie Rose.
Cowell, 52, has been the subject of much tabloid gossip recently as a result of Tom Bower publishing unauthorised biography Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life Of Simon Cowell. The book's claims have included that he dated Dannii Minogue, cheated on ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour many times, and was "mesmerised" by Cheryl Cole.

Interesting...sleeping with Cowell has become an opt-out scheme? The government are coming up with worse ideas every day :)

I thought it was just me but then lookout the paper running the article. Morals and commitment are not selling points for them. They prefer lies and ********.
