Phillip Schofield 'hopes for Gardiner afro'

Phillip Schofield has joked that he hopes Jason Gardiner will reveal a "ginger afro" when he finally unveils the results of his alleged hair transplant.

Reports have claimed that the Dancing On Ice judge spent £12,000 on the new look after Schofield teased that there is "magic stuff" going on under the hats he wears on the ITV1 show.

Speaking to The Mirror, the presenter said of Gardiner's reaction to his comments: "The phrase I got back was 'less than pleased'. But he's forgiven me now and we're fine."

He continued: "Apparently the results are spectacular. When he takes that hat off I'm expecting a huge ginger afro to emerge. "

"Talk is he will unveil the magic on Sunday's Dancing On Ice final or the next day when he appears on This Morning. I can't wait."

Gardiner previously admitted that he is "quite entertained" by the speculation surrounding his hair.
