Jessie J's feminine new look: 'I'm embracing my sexuality' - pictures

Jessie J has said that she is embracing herself as a woman with her new look.

The singer-songwriter has previously teased her new image at a live show and the GQ Man of the Year Awards, and has dismissed her old style as that of a "cartoon character" making her look "like a transvestite".



"That really scary, spiky, cartoony kind of thing, that was me two or three years ago," Jessie J told Elle.

"Now I'm definitely more embracing of myself as a woman and my sexuality and just being a bit more feminine."



She added: "I've always wanted to look like this, but it didn't grab people's attention.

"And in the beginning you've always got to do something that's going to make people go, 'Who's that?'"



Jessie J continued: "I definitely am more feminine and I've softened my look a lot.

"I'm just having fun with my style and, like, exploring stuff as I've got more confident as a young woman."

Of discussion of her bisexuality, she added: "It's one of those things where the media labelled me. Sexuality shouldn't define anyone. It doesn't define me.

"Love should be at the core of what you do. I'm only interested in finding love now."
