The singer, who paid to buy out her contract with EMI, was previously quoted as saying that she was "flat down to nothing" afterwards.
However, Stone has now told E! Online that she was "misquoted".
"The thing is, to say I was 'flat down to nothing' is absolutely not true," she said. "I have a house, it's nice. I actually bought my family home... I feel safe in the fact that I will always have that home - and really, what else do I need?"
Stone added that she made the right decision to buy out her contract, explaining that she was "buying back [her] freedom" even though she had to "start again".
"I've got my home, I've got my pen, I've got my paper, I've got enough money to make more music - what else do I need?" she said. "I don't have millions, I don't have a load that I would technically be entitled to if I was in those [label] deals. But it doesn't matter. As long as you've got enough to make another record, what more do you need?"
Stone recently claimed that she turned down the chance to be a coach on The Voice UK, saying: "I feel that those things are really good to get exposure but they kind of make it into a competition and that is just sad."

God that woman is such a hypocrit!!!! She doesn't like shows like The Voice because they turn into a signing competition yet how is she famous? That's right a signing competition then she says she wanted more freedom - what was the name of her last album: The Soul Sessions, Volume Two, a rip-off of her debut album under EMI!!! Am I the only one that finds her extremely annoying?????
