The custody battle between Usher and ex-wife Tameka Raymond won't be postponed in the wake of the R&B singer's stepson's death.According to TMZ, the judge presiding over the case in Fulton County, Georgia has said that proceedings will continue later this month, despite the passing of Tameka's son Kile Glover after a jet ski accident in July.

Usher had allegedly wanted to delay the trial as he believes that resuming the case so soon after the loss would cause "unnecessary stress and strain" on himself, Tameka and their two children together.
However, Tameka has since been reported to have said that Usher's concern for her and Kile is "bogus" and a "transparent sham", and that he merely wants sympathy from the press and public, according to court documents obtained by TMZ
She has also alleged that Usher "visited Kile in the hospital only once", and that he did not attend his stepson's funeral on July 27.
The trial is still currently scheduled to resume on August 13.

her comments seem very harsh in the light of the situation- everyone deals with grief differently. maybe he couldn't face going to the funeral

I think that's really insensitive to have a continuation of the custody battle so soon after the death & subsequents funeral of Tameka's son. It's so sad all of this & detrimental to the well being of the children Tameka & Usher share, why can't they have joint custody?
