Michelle Keegan, Max George split due to 'long distance'

Michelle Keegan and Max George's break-up was apparently due to the intensity of their professional commitments.

Coronation Street actress Keegan issued an ultimatum to her Wanted star boyfriend over the long-distance nature of their relationship, reports The Sun.

"She's not that heartbroken. It's been a while coming," a source claimed. "She has been her usual smiley self this week."

Representatives for both Keegan and George have confirmed that the pair are no longer together.

Fellow Corrie actress Brooke Vincent claimed earlier this month that the media scrutiny over their relationship upset her co-star.

Keegan and George called off their engagement in April, after which they continually denied rumours that they had broken up.

They became an item in late 2010.
