After making her complaint, Allen received critical and abusive messages on Twitter, leading to her declaring earlier today (July 12) that she would be leaving the microblogging site temporarily.
However, about three hours after she announced her break, she posted: "I have just received some flowers and a hand written apology from Harry Wilson, which I accept. I hope we can all now move on. Thank you."
The message which started off the Twitter storm had been a comment on rumours that Allen was in the process of adopting a child, with Wilson writing: "All the best with your new family just seen you bought s**t I mean adopted a child from Africa."
After reporting the user to the Ministry of Defence, the 'Not Fair' singer was criticised for branding the message racist, with users saying she had failed to understand that a comma was intended before the word "s**t" rather than after it.
She responded to an accusation about her "misreading the comment and jumping the gun" by writing: "No, his fault for mis-writing more like! IF that's the case, and if it is, then I'm sure his superiors will understand."
As well as announcing that she is pregnant again, Allen has also recently confirmed that she is working on music with Greg Kurstin.

Lily always seems to get the worst of the worst when it comes to Twitter hate - I remember some truly disgusting and revolting comments about her miscarriage from Justin Bieber fans when she 'dissed' him! I don't think anyone can blame her for 'overreacting' to future hate after that. I probably would too.

I must be really daft but even with a comma, that tweet still didn't make sense to me.

Why do people feel affronted when someone challenges them for abusing someone on twitter? It isn't your God given right to post abuse to celebrities. So don't be surprised when one of them defends themselves and reports you for that abuse.

Think before you tweet, then double check. Does it sound / look the way you intend it. If the answer is yes then press the button. If not, then think again.

Also, think before you scurry off to the police. Does it sound/look the way you think. If the answer is no then put the phone down and think again.
