Ron Perlman has fulfilled a young boy's wish by visiting him as his most famous character Hellboy. The actor donned the superhero's make-up and costume and hung out with Zachary, 6, all day as part of a Make-a-Wish Foundation request.

Zachary is currently undergoing treatment for leukaemia, states The Hollywood Reporter.
Creature effects company Spectral Motion, the team behind the iconic characters in Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy and Hellboy 2, got in touch with Perlman for the child's wish.
The 62-year-old actor spent four hours with the make-up artists, and stated that he "loved the idea and donned the make-up once more".

Zachary also got the opportunity to be transformed into a mini-Hellboy himself.
Spectral Motion had previously worked with Make-a-Wish before, including showing another child, Caleb, around their animatronics workshop, which had brought to life characters in the likes of X-Men: The Last Stand and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

What a top bloke! Goes to show that small things can really make a difference to people. Brilliant story, the make a wish foundation do a lot and, whilst they get a fair but of press attention and celebrity endorsement, I really wish we got to read more stories like this. Great bloke and brilliant story
