Tom Cruise allegedly had near-total control over wife Katie Holmes's career during their marriage. The Rock of Ages star first exerted his influence shortly before he began dating Holmes in 2005 as she filmed Thank You For Smoking, according to TMZ.

Cruise apparently demanded that an image of Holmes kissing co-star Aaron Eckhart be removed from the Thank You For Smoking poster.
He also apparently laid down travel restrictions when Holmes shot Batman Begins by requiring her to travel to location shoots on his private jet, rather than with the rest of the cast.
Batman Begins star Morgan Freeman was apparently the most upset at Holmes's travel edict. Another insider on the film said other members of the cast were less bothered.
Freeman has not commented on this latest report, nor have representatives for Holmes and Cruise amid rumours of disagreements over Scientology and parenting daughter Suri.
Holmes filed for divorce from Cruise earlier this week after five years of marriage.
The actress spoke publicly about the split on Wednesday (July 4) when she assured a reporter that she is "alright".

Next thing we'll see is a report that Tom hit her or something similar. I mean I don't like Scientolgy or Tom Cruise, but the list of why Katie left is ever growing.

I wonder if he had anything to do with why she didn't star in The Dark Knight...

That's what I was thinking. He probably told her she wasn't allowed to do it...
