has explained her decision to have a natural birth.
The model and her husband
Orlando Bloom welcomed their first child Flynn Christopher
in January 2011 and Kerr chose not to have any pain relief.
She has now told Harper's Bazaar
that she decided to give birth naturally after watching videos of labour.
"I had been watching all these baby bonding videos and [without an epidural], when the baby comes out it goes straight on the breast," she said.
"The baby [exposed to an epidural] was a little bit drugged up and I was like, 'Well, I don't want that'. I wanted to give him the best possible start in life I could."
The Victoria's Secret star also revealed that she did not feel any pressure to "snap back into shape" after giving birth, saying: "My priority was just having my son and breastfeeding, which was something I really wanted to do, and it came easily. I'm actually still making milk now, but you know, he's got teeth!"
Following Flynn's birth, Kerr joked that she was "crazy" not to take pain relief
and admitted that she thought she "was going to die"
at one point.
