'Twilight' star Jackson Rathbone welcomes baby boy

Twilight star Jackson Rathbone has welcomed his first child.

The actor's girlfriend Sheila Hafsadi gave birth to a son on Thursday (July 5), People reports.

The couple have reportedly named their new addition Monroe Jackson Rathbone VI.

He was born at 9.43am and weight 8lbs, 11oz.

Rathbone, who announced in February that he was expecting a child with Hafsadi, later took to his Twitter page to thank fans for their messages.

"Thank you ALL for the love and support!" he wrote. "Sheila & I couldn't be happier to have such a beautiful, healthy baby boy, Monroe Jackson Rathbone VI.

"Feeling so blessed! What an amazing day! Love and respect, Bone Daddy."

Rathbone also posted photographs of himself and his father smoking cigars to celebrate the birth, adding: "What a glorious day!"
