One Direction Harry Styles affair left me devastated, says DJ's husband

The husband of radio DJ Lucy Horobin has reportedly said that he was left "devastated" after it was revealed she had a fling with One Direction's Harry Styles.According to The Sun, 31-year-old Oliver Pope told a friend that he couldn't believe his wife had cheated on him and that the revelations caused him "unimaginable pain".

"I was outraged," Pope is quoted as saying. "Not only was my wife telling me she had slept with somebody else, she was telling me it was him, Harry Styles.
"I was devastated. I felt every emotion - hatred, sadness, disappointment."
Pope is said to have branded Styles a "predator" and referred to him as "the little scumbag [who slept] with Caroline Flack" after 31-year-old Horobin confessed that she and the then 17-year-old popstar had had a fling.
Horobin and Styles met when One Direction visited Manchester radio station Key 103 last August. During an interview with the group, the pair flirted with each other, and studio webcam footage apparently shows Styles mouthing "I love you" at the presenter.

Pope and Horobin had been married for a year when the three-month fling began. The relationship is said to have ended when Styles began to show interest in Xtra Factor presenter Flack.
Pope and Horobin currently live together in Hampshire and are understood to be fighting to save their marriage.
The DJ, who now presents a show on Heart's South Coast FM, recently quit Twitter after One Direction fans subjected her to a torrent of abuse.
This story is a kinds of fishy though. Dodgy quotes, dodgier sentiment. Screams Max Clifford job to me!

She did try her best to humiliate him as much as possible though.
Having your partner cheat on you is bad enough, having them cheat on you with someone half your age is even worse, having them cheat on you with someone famous so the whole world learns about it is the cherry on top.
Credit to her she walks the extra mile.

What are you on about? The story has as much likelihood of being total or part tosh. Why do people automatically assume all these badly-sourced and badly-written stories are 100% true? Or even true at all? We all know what the papers are like in this country.

She confirmed it though, she took a break from her job because of it. Also Harry would have denied it by now if it weren't true.

Older man + younger woman = no-one gives a toss. Younger man + older woman = outrage. How utterly ridiculous.
She got an energetic, enthusiastic shag, he got the benefits of a grown woman's sexual experience. Fab night all round.
Every guy I know that was the younger man to an older woman says that it was the greatest sex, and sexual learning of their lives.
The haters here are just jealous to the point of total collapse.

And what of the husband? I have no concern with regard to the rights and wrongs of age differences between the genders, consent and emotions are the only factors to be considered, but she was married (and hadn't been for particularly long) and held no regard to the feelings of her husband, who has clearly been left devastated.
My wife of 10 years, whom I loved deeply, had an affair with a predatory male, and it destroyed my life. I have nothing but sympathy for Oliver Pope and can only hope that he doesn't feel a sliver of the pain that I felt and feel to this day.
There are plenty of women prepared to have a relationship with Styles (or a one night stand if that is his want), without the need to bed married women, and he needs to learn that his actions have consequences, and that just because he can, doesn't mean he has to.

Oh get over yourself Natalie it's such a lame statement. Old guys with young girls get called perverts and the young girls get called gold digger. It's such a made up argument.
Also she was married, there was nothing okay about this.
