Russell Brand has chastised Graham Norton for bringing up his divorce during an interview. The Rock of Ages star told the talk show host that he had made his mother cry by mentioning the actor's marriage breakdown during filming for The Graham Norton Show.

"My mum is here... she got upset when you dragged up my marriage," said Brand. "I saw her cry. That's the reality because it's real people Graham, that's my real mum.
"I have come here to promote a film and you made my mum cry," he continued, before adding: "I don't see you as that sort of person."
"I don't see myself as that kind of person," replied Norton, but he added that, since Perry had been a guest on the previous week's show, it would have seemed "weird" had he not brought the subject up.

"What I would have done, mate, in your position is come up to me before the show and gone, 'Eh listen, it's a bit odd that your ex-missus was on last week. I might mention it, is that okay?'," the comedian explained.
"But in all of the chatting and the research backstage, no-one mentioned it," he told the audience.

Brand and Perry separated in December after 14 months of marriage. The comic has since referenced the split in his own material, but has declined to talk about the break-up in the press.
Perry revealed last week that she "went through some pretty tough times last year" but just "put a smile on my face and went up [on stage] with my t*ts spinning".

Watched the 'interview' last night: Brand was moody from the get-go. His eyes said it all - he didn't want to be there, and acted like a spoiled, arrogant, rude little brat. Even his teenage sarcasm approach to promoting his new movie showed him up.

Ah boo ho. Poor little Russell Brand. So thin-skinned. Brand is a pointless individual who can give plenty of abuse but cannot take even the mildest questioning about his private life.
Brand boasted about his sexual conquests for years. He is a user and a sexist pig.

Also I think Russell being paired up with the Dami Lama was a great idea because yer he may be the last person you would expect and want to interview some one with so much respect but there is a lesson in that because yer Russell may not be perfect but who is and if you really try and understand who is now then you will see he is quite a intelligent and deep person. As well as seeing the negative aspects of each other people should remember to see the positives to.

I'd cry every day if he was related to me

"Mentioning my divorce made my mum cry". Well, I am sure that she has never shed a tear over Brand using hard drugs and alcohol, shagging whoever he wants, being a national laughing stock, upsetting a family with crude comments on a radio show, being caught up in the middle of a scandal (The Andrew Sachs phone call), having a failing film and TV career and embarrassing himself generally every time he seems to open his mouth. Perhaps brand should grow up a bit. Presumably, he feels it is OK for him to humiliate other people and ridicule them in "jest", but yet when someone asks a reasonable question about his personal life, he throws a hissy fit. He needs to get over himself. All he has succeeded in is confirming what a pathetic little man he is. If you live your life in the public eye, then you have to expect people to take an interest in your personal life. It comes with the territory. He was happy enough to publicise his marriage a year or so ago. Double standards I think.....
