The daughter of late singer Michael Jackson revealed in an interview on Oprah's Next Chapter that she is no longer being home schooled. She claimed that students at her private school have tried to make fun of her, and that she has also experienced cyber-bullying.
Explaining that bullying "doesn't work" on her, the 14-year-old said: "They try to get to me with words, but it doesn't really get to me... a lot of people don't like me. I don't know what it is."
When Winfrey asked Jackson if she had considered whether the bullies may be jealous of her, Jackson responded: "Maybe. I don't know."
"If I feel someone is being fake to me, I will just, like, push away," she explained. "There are kids at my school that talk so bad behind my back, and they don't think that I can hear them! A lot of times I can hear them, [and] a lot of times, my friends will tell me what they say."
Jackson has revealed aspirations of following in her father's showbusiness footsteps and pursuing acting.
Aunt Janet Jackson has however apparently discouraged her niece from the complications of fame.

What Janet Jackson is doing is shocking. Her parents never stopped HER from singing or acting e.g. living out her dream. I am appalled by her behavior, not as a performer but as an auntie. Where does it hurt her? Oh, I get it, she doesn't want Paris to be more famous than her. For God's sake, this sounds like sibling rivalry to me but in this case it seems to be only one person doing it. Janet Jackson should grow up, she's grown up now - I think - so it's about time. There's no guarantee that the same problems that plagued her father will plague her, so why not let her give it a try, or even a go?

The greatest irony of Paris' interview with Oprah is that she probably wouldn't have had to contend with all the bullying in the first place had it not been for the media's obsession with her family. Now here she is turning to the media that helped create the fracas to come clean about it all....
