Ashley, Mary-Kate Olsen win 2012 'Womenswear Designer of the Year'

Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen
have been honoured with the 'Womenswear Designer of the Year' award at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
Each year the CFDA, a non-profit trade organisation consisting of more than 400 of America's top designers, recognises excellent work in fashion and accessory design.
The twin sisters took home their award for their luxury fashion label The Row, while Dark Shadows
star Johnny Depp was given the 'Fashion Icon Award'.
Phillip Lim, who has designed dresses for First Lady Michelle Obama, won the Swarovski Award for 'Emerging Talent in Menswear'.

Last year, the Olsen sisters were chosen as the 'Best Dressed' sisters
The list also included other sister duos such as Elle Fanning and Dakota Fanning, Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, and Kate Middleton and Pippa Middleton.
