Following a backlash from Lohan's fans and her father Michael Lohan, O'Donnell defended her comments and suggested that the actress "needs help".
However, Lohan has criticised O'Donnell's comments in an interview with Access Hollywood.
"It's funny that someone you don't know at all can say something so intrusive and so knowing," she said. "You know, I did one of my first interviews with [Rosie] when I was little. I was so excited."
The biopic's producer Larry Thompson has previously said he is "convinced that [Lindsay] is going to deliver" in Liz & Dick.

This could truly be the making of Lindsay Lohan. She knows that too. She has clever enough people around her that have weighed up the pro's and con's. I love Rosie but she really doesn't need to be sticking her oar in here.

nice one Lindsay Lohan, not bitter at all, makes her the bigger person! Personally, I was expecting a really argumentative reply, since all the reports of fights in clubs have been popping up, so really surprised :)
