Dick Clark dies, aged 82

A rep told TMZ that the American Bandstand host was in St. John's hospital in Los Angeles after undergoing an outpatient procedure on Tuesday night (April 17).
Clark then died from a "massive heart attack" in the morning (April 18) after the procedure. Doctors were unsuccessful in attempting to revive him.
Clark, who has three children from two previous marriages, is survived by his third wife Kari Wigton.

Since 1972, he served as the producer and host of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.
After Clark suffered a stroke in 2004, he was left partially paralysed with impaired speech. However, he still continued to do the New Year's countdown in Times Square joined by Ryan Seacrest.
Known as ''America's Oldest Teenager", Clark won a Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award and a Peabody Award for his work.
He is also an inductee of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, National Radio Hall of Fame, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame and Broadcasting Magazine Hall of Fame.

He produced the Tempestt talkshow back in the 90's. I remember seeing him on the set when I visited the show.
