Chantelle Houghton, Alex Reid: 'We want to be brilliant parents'

Chantelle Houghton and Alex Reid have said that they hope their parenting skills will be exemplary.Former Big Brother star Houghton, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Reid in 2012, revealed that falling pregnant was her highlight of the year.

When asked by Star magazine what her New Year's resolution is, she exclaimed: "To be brilliant parents!
"Getting pregnant was my highlight! I didn't even think it was possible. It's made us stronger. I can't wait to buy more baby clothes! I want to know the sex of the baby so I can plan the wardrobe!"
Meanwhile, Reid commented: "We're gonna be the best [parents]. I really can't wait to be a daddy."
The cagefighter, who shot to fame after marrying ex-wife Katie Price, proposed to Houghton on Irish TV in October. They have since landed their own reality show.
