Celebrities and members of the royal family saluted heroic soldiers at The Sun's Military Awards in London last night (December 19).Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, looking elegant in a black Alexander McQueen gown, handed out an award for heroism and bravery at the Night For Heroes evening held at the Imperial War Museum.
Other guests at the inspirational ceremony included Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon and its current ballroom champion Harry Judd, Coronation Street's Brooke Vincent and Sacha Parkinson, X Factor winners Little Mix, I'm a Celebrity crowned king Dougie Poynter, and TOWIE's James Argent and Lydia Bright.
They were also joined by David Beckham and two of his boys, Brooklyn, 12, and Romeo, 8, footballer Frank Lampard and presenter girlfriend Christine Bleakley, Gordon Ramsay, Jamie and Louise Redknapp, Prince Harry and a brightly-coloured Amy Childs...

Am I the only one who thinks it to be all kinds of wrong that an event for proper heroes who have done proper life threatening work for this country and indeed the world should be attended by reality TV 'celebrities' and soap actors? Especially when royalty are in attendance? Do we really equate reality TV 'stars' with military heroes? Amy Childs? REALLY? Something is wrong with this country.
