The former Big Brother contestant was yesterday cleared of allegations
that she blackmailed Giggs
prior to MP John Hemming's breaking of the super-injunction
protecting the footballer's identity.
Speaking after her victory, Thomas declared that she was "relieved" the truth about their tryst had finally emerged.
"It has been an absolute nightmare for me and my family," the model told The Sun
. "I am so relieved the truth has come out."

A "court statement" posted by Thomas on her Twitter yesterday ruled that there was "no basis" to accuse her of blackmail and acknowledged that she had been "motivated by a desire to avoid the publication of private information".
"To suddenly have to defend my character because of this legal process has been extremely upsetting and stressful," she said. "I'm just relieved that the parties and the court now accept that I'm no blackmailer. I have been vindicated and that's all I wanted."
Lib Dem politician Hemming has since called for a constitutional review on controls on court secrecy, as he believes Thomas's case has shown that "secret justice leads to miscarriages of justice".
