Digital Spy: Anna Williamson's Showbiz Peek at the Week

What a week in the world of t'showbiz - Holly Willoughby's going to the Beeb, Eamonn Holmes is staying at Sky, Johnny Vaughan's been biffed from Capital, Christine Bleakley's hosting Dancing on Ice
, The Brendan Cole show (formally known as Strictly
) said adios to Anita Dobson... there have been more coming and goings than Jordan's love life.I'm a Celebrity
has been must have viewing once again this week - not least for the brilliantly executed slapstick gags from everyone's fave duo Ant & Dec. OK, some are a bit cringeworthy and clearly shouldn't have made it any further than the post-show chat on the golf course, but still, we gloss over that, don't we; the constant 'Willy' [Carson] gags more than make up for it. There's something self-assured about being TV's golden team when you can publicly ridicule your boss Simon Cowell's sexuality on live telly and get away with it. That's power. Or just sheer bravery.
So Pat (more like Prat) Sharp certainly made his mark this week. After a cracking start putting up with Sinitta in that cockroach-infested cave, we might have been fooled into thinking ol' mullet boy was a bit of a potential dark horse for this show. Alas that dark horse theory was quickly 'put down', as 'Pervy Pat' soon realised the perks of being stuck in a boiling hot jungle... with a handful of buxom beauties prancing around nigh on topless (including Willie Carson - woof!), our Pat was knocking out the cheesy chat-up lines like anyone's business. With 'Tedward-gate' and the general winding up of everyone, it was back to the Versace hotel for a club sandwich and an early (much needed) bath.
Sinitta and Lorraine Chase quickly followed - incidentally, has anyone ever seen Lorraine Chase and Joe Pasquale in the same room? That voice is WAY too freakishly similar! My biggest belly laugh of the week came courtesy of Warwick Davies in Life's Too Short
. Not only was the much anticipated appearance from Johnny Depp an absolute treat - he could have just sat there for all I care, such is the joy that gawping at the man brings - but the sight of Warwick dressed in the 'stinky bear' costume and getting a glass of Pinot Grigio chucked in his face nearly brought me to tears. Add to that Depp making him stand in a toilet for no apparent reason, a couple of shows in and I'm giving this controversial comedy a big thumbs up. I know it's had mixed reviews but forget Gervais and Merchant, this is Warwick's moment to shine.Anna's TV Titters
The X Factor
stylists changing their tack with Amelia Lily and replacing the Kat Slater look with something best suited to Peter Pan. The hair, the dress and bare feet... Tinkerbell eat your heart out!
Marcus Collins from The X Factor
unintentionally yet kindly supporting Movember with his little pencil tash.
Emily Scott on I'm a Celeb
being given her role for the latest jungle game - "I'm the Camp Bike," she proudly declared - err Emily, you do know what that means to us gutter mouth Brits, don't you? I'd not broadcast that too near Mark Wright if I were you...
And Ade Edmondson spending a good ten minutes telling us how lost luggage on airlines, due to a sophisticated new system, is practically now a thing of the past on new BBC One show That's Britain
. Only to discover after his demo schlep to Europe, he'd fallen into the 0.005% of people who DO
lose their luggage. D'oh - you couldn't have made it up, could you?! Fair play to Ade, he styled it out a beaut in the way only a legend can; with a comedy pay off!> Catch up on Anna's previous Showbiz Peek at the Week
