Linda Evangelista 'wants $46k child support from Salma Hayek husband'

has requested $46,000 (£28,275) per month in child support from François-Henri Pinault.
Pinault, who married Salma Hayek in February 2009, fathered a 4-year-old son called Augustin James with Evangelista
while he and Hayek temporarily split.
The New York Post
reports that Evangelista's lawyer William Beslow has requested the high amount from billionaire Pinault as "he's just been sitting back, paying zero".
The sum would reportedly go towards paying for several round-the-clock nannies for the child as well as drivers who are retired police officers and can double as security for the supermodel and her child.
However, Pinault's lawyer David Aronson has slammed the request, saying: "She testified that she wants to have a 24-hour nanny because she does not want to be alone with the child... Miss Evangelista, you should understand, has a worth of more than $8 million (£4.9 million), and she earned, last year, $1.8 million (£1.1 million)."
A Manhattan Family Court judge, who heard the initial hearing yesterday, was sympathetic to Evangelista's needs, saying that while $46,000 may seem like an exorbitant amount, it is on par with raising the child of a celebrity.
"These are the extraordinary expenses that may be a part of the child's life," the judge said. "And if there is a trial [in the support case] with a lot of publicity, there will probably be a need for two detectives to drive this kid around."
Evangelista and Pinault will return to court next month to resolve the final approved amount.
